Michael and Charisma Willms have a passion for growing fruits and vegetables on their small family farm in southern Alberta. With the high price, poor quality and limited availability of most Asian veggies in the store, Mike and Charisma decided to start growing their own Filipina influenced produce. In conjunction with changes in the farming operation as well as opportunity to build a greenhouse they decided to increase production in an effort to supply the local demand. Locally raised grass fed beef is also currently available.
Carabao Mercado is certainly very much in the infancy stage which will initially limit supply but anything great is well worth the wait. As weather permits, Mike and Charisma will certainly welcome visitors by appointment to experience farm life first hand.
Fresh and Vibrant
Various varieties of peppers ranging from super spicy to mild and sweet will be included in the mix of Asian veggies.
Farm History
The Willms family has farmed in the area for 5 generations and 6 generations have set foot on this soil.
Fresh Table Potatoes
Mike and Charisma haven’t attempted to grow rice but they do grow a few varieties of colourful potatoes which will brighten any plate.
